Jean Harrison practices in the fields of construction law, property tax, land use, septic regulation, utility and administrative/governmental law, as well as animal law. She graduated with highest distinction with a B.A. from the University of Kansas in 1992, is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, did post-graduate work in Florence, Italy and while there, traveled extensively and attended culinary school. She attended Vanderbilt Law School and received her J.D. in 1997.

Jean has worked as an attorney for local governments with a practice emphasis in codes enforcement, utility regulation and property tax and has been in private practice for twenty years with a wide variety of governmental and private clients specializing in construction and land use matters as well as a significant practice in animal law. In 2008, she expanded her practice and formed Harrison Law Group, P.C.

Jean is admitted to practice in the State of Tennessee, the United States District Court for Middle Tennessee and the Sixth Circuit. She is a member of the American Bar Association Construction Forum and the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel. She is currently serving as a member of the Metropolitan Nashville Board of Equalization. Jean is also active in various civic organizations and is the founder of a large non-profit animal rescue organization and dedicates a significant amount of time to charitable activities.
